3-Day Tarangire & Lake Manyara Express Itinerary
Focused game drives to maximize big game sightings in two of the Northern Circuit's most accessible parks.
Morning: Your safari begins with a scenic drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park. Upon arrival, you will immediately begin an extensive game drive. Tarangire is celebrated for having the largest concentration of elephants in the world, often seen in herds of up to 300 individuals. Afternoon: We explore the Tarangire River, the primary water source, where you will witness countless animals, including zebras, wildebeest, and large predators, gathering to drink beneath the iconic Baobab trees. We drive late afternoon to our comfortable accommodation near the park boundary.

Morning: We take a final, early morning game drive in Tarangire to capture the incredible sight of predators on the move and the magnificent sunrise over the Baobab plains. After breakfast, we drive south towards the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Afternoon: We arrive at a lodge located near Lake Manyara National Park, offering stunning views of the Rift Valley. You have the option to relax, take a dip in the pool, or opt for a cultural visit to a nearby Maasai village (optional activity). We prepare for tomorrow’s exploration of the lush Manyara forest.

Morning Safari: After an early breakfast, we descend into the lush Lake Manyara National Park. This park is renowned for its diverse ecosystems, including groundwater forests, marshlands, and the vast soda lake. We will actively search for the famous tree-climbing lions and the park's large population of baboons. We also search the lake shore for thousands of pink flamingos (seasonal). Departure: After a comprehensive game drive and a final hot lunch, we begin the return journey to Arusha. Your guide will transfer you directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK) for your international departure flight.
